With a strong foundation in sailing yachts and extensive time spent cruising the Mediterranean, Scott has commanded vessels across diverse global cruising grounds, developing a reputation for measured leadership, technical proficiency, and exceptional seamanship.

His long-standing involvement with Southern Cloud has given him an in-depth understanding of the yacht’s performance, systems, and sailing capabilities. Scott’s command style is calm, decisive, and guest-focused — ensuring operational excellence while creating a relaxed and enjoyable onboard atmosphere. His meticulous passage planning, safety management, and ability to tailor itineraries to suit each charter define his approach. Whether undertaking adventurous coastal exploration or refined harbour cruising, guests are in highly capable hands.

Archie Mandin

Sydney-born and raised around boats, Archie’s maritime career is built on lifelong exposure to the ocean. His professional experience includes an Antarctic sailing expedition and extensive cruising throughout the Kimberley region — environments that demand resilience, advanced seamanship, and strong navigational competence.

Currently progressing toward his Master Unlimited certification, Archie demonstrates ambition and commitment to professional development within the industry. As First Mate, he oversees deck operations, tender logistics, safety drills, and sailing manoeuvres with confidence and precision. His technical skillset, leadership on deck, and enthusiasm for remote cruising contribute significantly to the smooth and safe execution of every charter.

Matthew Boardman

Chief Engineer

A Sydney native with a lifelong connection to the water, Matthew has been immersed in boating culture since childhood. A dedicated fisherman and experienced marine professional, he brings practical expertise and a strong work ethic to his position as Chief Engineer.

Matthew is responsible for the overall management, maintenance, and operational readiness of all onboard engineering systems. His proactive maintenance programs, attention to detail, and commitment to safety underpin the yacht’s reliability. Calm under pressure and highly organised, he ensures seamless performance behind the scenes, enabling guests and crew alike to focus on the enjoyment of the voyage.

Charlie Haslam

Second Engineer

First Class Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, reflecting both academic excellence and technical depth. His maritime background includes work aboard sailing vessels in Greece, where operational reliability and preventative maintenance are critical to performance.

As Second Engineer, Charlie plays an integral role in maintaining the yacht’s engineering systems to the highest standard. Methodical, analytical, and solutions-oriented, he supports all mechanical, electrical, and auxiliary systems onboard. His disciplined approach ensures optimal efficiency, regulatory compliance, and uninterrupted guest comfort throughout each voyage.

Keghan Slijderink

Raised in Western Australia and having completed multiple seasons in Ibiza, Keghan offers valuable international charter experience within high-demand Mediterranean environments. Exposure to fast-paced, luxury-focused service has refined her attention to detail, time management, and presentation skills.

Professional and personable, Keghan ensures that guest areas are maintained impeccably and that service is delivered with precision and care. Her natural affinity for the ocean and beach lifestyle aligns perfectly with life at sea, while her strong work ethic and composure contribute to a smooth and elevated onboard atmosphere.

Originally from Brisbane, Courtney delivers refined, high-end service with genuine Australian warmth. Angelina Newby

Growing up in Perth within a family deeply involved in yachting — including formative years spent living aboard a family yacht — Angelina developed practical seamanship skills from an early age. Sailing and life on the water are second nature to her.

As Deckhand, she supports all exterior operations including tender driving, water sports coordination, line handling, and deck maintenance. Calm, capable, and safety-conscious, Angelina brings both technical competence and a positive, can-do attitude to the deck team. Her background in travel and outdoor adventure further enhances her adaptability and professionalism in varied cruising environments.

Indonesian-born and raised on the Gold Coast, Sindhu brings a distinctive culinary identity shaped by Asian heritage and contemporary Australian influences. Having successfully opened and led several Gold Coast restaurants, he possesses both entrepreneurial vision and refined culinary execution.

Specialising in Asian fusion cuisine, Sindhu masterfully balances bold flavours, fresh produce, and elegant presentation. His menus are thoughtfully curated to reflect guest preferences while showcasing vibrant, layered flavour profiles inspired by traditional Asian ingredients. Passionate, disciplined, and consistently striving for excellence, Sindhu approaches every charter with dedication — ensuring that dining onboard is sophisticated, memorable, and of exceptional standard.
